…an event you can’t refuse

Thank you all for joining us at the Belly Up for Groovin’ with Godfather and for supporting Team Godfather Charitable Foundation. We hope you enjoyed the evening of fun, friendship and great music. Team Godfather was started by family and friends, in October 2009, as a way to deal with the devastating impact that the diagnoses of ALS had on Mike Ramirez and his family. It took only three weeks for Team Godfather to organize and more than 200 of you participated in the ALS Walk for a cure. We raised over $35,000 in just three weeks with the proceeds going to support the local ALS community. From the beginning, this has been a real team effort and show of love and support that lifted the Ramirez’ spirits and desire to go on. We realized that our community, family and friends (Team Godfather) could unite as a positive force and make a difference in the lives of many. Team Godfather Charitable Foundation was established to raise money for the local ALS community, to help identify and fund fast-track research for a cure…while having fun in the process. In the last amazing ten months, Team Godfather united and participated in several fundraising events in support of the ALS community in San Diego. Our team continues to grow with over 500 joining in on Groovin’ with Godfather activities and many more who could not attend, but lent their support. Our efforts, with the net proceeds from the event, have raised over $150,000. Team Godfather is blessed and proud to be associated with so many loving, supportive people. Together we will make a positive difference in the lives of many with ALS.
